Product information

Description

The Ricoh PJ WUL5860 is a compact DLP data projector with 4000 ANSI lumens brightness and native WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution. Designed for small meeting rooms and flexible installation, it uses a multi‑module laser light source with a rated life of 20,000 hours, supports 4K signal input, and offers short‑throw performance in a lightweight chassis.

Advantages

The multi‑module laser light source provides stable brightness and supports continuous 24/7 operation while offering three power modes (Normal, Eco, Image ECO) to balance image quality and diode life. The projector delivers a wide colour gamut using Ricoh’s NCE natural colour gain technology, covers over 92% of the Rec.709 gamut, and reaches full brightness within seconds after power‑on. A fully sealed optical engine meets IP6X dust‑proof standards, reducing maintenance and preserving image quality. Additional features include 4K signal compatibility via HDMI 2.0, vertical lens shift for easier ceiling mounting, four‑corner and keystone correction for installation flexibility, DICOM SIM medical mode for monochrome medical images, and support for 360° and portrait orientation installations.

Suitable for

  • Small meeting and huddle rooms
  • Classrooms and lecture halls requiring WUXGA resolution
  • Medical education and review using DICOM SIM mode
  • Fixed installations with limited space or non‑standard surfaces
  • Continuous operation environments (digital signage, control rooms)

Key specifications

  • Brightness: 4000 ANSI lumens
  • Native resolution: WUXGA (1920 x 1200)
  • Projection technology: DLP
  • Light source: Multi‑module laser, 20,000 hours life
  • Colour gamut: >92% Rec.709 (NCE technology)
  • Lens shift: Vertical +10% (model specific)
  • 4K signal compatibility: Up to 3840 x 2160 via HDMI 2.0
  • Interfaces: HDMI 1.4/2.0, RS‑232C, Ethernet 10/100 Mbit/s
  • Dust protection: IP6X sealed optical engine
  • Weight / footprint: approx. 4.6 kg; compact footprint

How to use

Place or mount the projector according to the room layout and use the vertical lens shift and keystone/four‑corner correction to align the image without moving the unit. Connect video sources via HDMI (HDMI 2.0 recommended for 4K signals) or network/serial interfaces as required. Select an appropriate laser power mode (Normal, Eco, Image ECO) to match viewing conditions and extend diode life. For medical images, enable DICOM SIM mode to optimise monochrome contrast. Powering on provides full brightness within seconds and the light source switches off immediately when the unit is powered down.

Usage recommendations

For best long‑term performance, install the projector in a dust‑controlled environment, use the Image ECO mode when projecting mostly dark content to reduce power consumption, and assign IDs to individual units when controlling multiple projectors remotely.
