The fi-7700 is a heavy-duty, flexible production scanner designed for professional high-volume use. It delivers instant processing performance at 100 ppm / 200 ipm (A4, landscape, colour, 200/300 dpi) and supports mixed-batch scanning from A8 to A3, paper weights 20–413 g/m², folded documents up to A1 and longer, and includes a 300-sheet ADF, rotatable ADF and flatbed. The scanner is built for continuous operation with a 30,000-document daily duty cycle and features Paper Protect (iSOP) to detect abnormal sound and document length for jam prevention.

Advantages

The fi-7700 combines high-speed capture with versatile media handling: it scans thin paper, plastic cards, envelopes and long-page documents while preserving image quality. Its straight paper path and adjustable non-separation mode enable reliable scanning of thick, folded or multi-layered sets. Skew Reducer and Paper Protect improve feed reliability and reduce errors. The ADF’s rotatable design, independent side guides, adjustable stacker and LCD operation panel simplify setup and reduce pre- and post-scan handling. The scanner is supplied with PaperStream IP (TWAIN/ISIS) and PaperStream Capture for image enhancement, OCR-friendly output and efficient batch capture workflows.

How to use

Place documents in the ADF or on the flatbed depending on media type; use the ADF for bulk batches and the flatbed for thick, fragile or bound items. Adjust the independent side guides and stacker guides to the batch size for accurate feeding. For thick or folded documents, slide the lever to non-separation mode and rotate or slide the ADF if needed to accommodate layout. Use the LCD panel to monitor status and follow on-screen prompts. Processed images are enhanced by PaperStream IP and can be organized, verified and exported using PaperStream Capture for OCR or storage.

Recommendations

For consistent results, separate very thin or glued documents before scanning, regularly clean feed rollers as instructed in the service manual, and consider a service upgrade if you require onsite support, faster response times or accidental damage coverage.
