ADF + Manual feed scanner Ricoh fi-8040 600 x 600 DPI A4 Black Grey
The Ricoh fi-8040 is an ADF + manual feed scanner designed for organisations that need high image quality, flexible network and USB connectivity, and an intuitive touch operation. It supports A4 (210 x 297 mm) scanning with an optical resolution of 600 x 600 DPI, duplex scanning and a 10.9 cm colour touchscreen. The scanner includes a dual CIS sensor, a 50-sheet automatic document feeder and a daily duty cycle up to 6000 pages, making it suitable for routine office digitisation tasks.
Clear Image Capture and bundled PaperStream IP software provide enhanced image quality and improved OCR accuracy for reliable data capture. Multiple connectivity options — USB for single-PC use, LAN for network deployment, and DirectScan for PC-less scanning — allow flexible integration into existing workflows. The built-in colour touchscreen and customizable interface simplify operation, while an ultrasonic multi-feed sensor and support wizard help maintain uptime and reduce operator intervention.
Load documents into the ADF or use the manual feed slot for single or oversized items, then select the desired scan destination and settings on the 10.9 cm colour touchscreen. For PC-connected operation, attach the scanner via USB and use PaperStream IP to capture and process images. For networked or PC-less operation, configure LAN settings and use DirectScan to send images to network folders, FTP locations or pre-programmed email addresses. Use the support wizard on the display for guided maintenance and troubleshooting.
Regularly clean the CIS sensors and rollers as guided by the support wizard, use recommended paper types to avoid frequent multi-feeds, and configure PaperStream IP settings to optimise OCR results and file size for storage and downstream workflows.
