Gasket Ricom USZCZELKA EPDM DN60 for PP piping system, EPDM DN60
Ricom USZCZELKA EPDM DN60 is an EPDM rubber gasket engineered for use with polypropylene (PP) piping systems at nominal diameter DN60. The gasket creates a watertight joint between PP pipe components and fittings, relying on EPDM elastomer properties to provide resistance to water, many detergents, and variable temperatures typical for plumbing and drainage applications. Designed to fit standard DN60 profiles, the seal ensures reliable connection and leak prevention in domestic and commercial installations.
The EPDM material offers strong flexibility and compression recovery, maintaining sealing performance after assembly and thermal cycling. Its compatibility with common cold and warm water systems and resistance to aging and ozone make it suitable for long-term use in drainage and wastewater applications. The gasket’s dimensions are matched to DN60 PP interfaces to simplify installation and reduce the need for additional sealing compounds.
Before fitting, inspect the gasket and the mating PP surfaces for damage, dirt, or debris. Lubricate the gasket lightly with a manufacturer-approved silicone or water-based lubricant if necessary to ease assembly and avoid twisting. Position the gasket evenly in the groove or socket, then insert the pipe or fitting ensuring full seating without pinching. Verify alignment and test the joint for leaks under normal operating conditions. Replace the gasket if cut, flattened, or otherwise damaged during assembly.
Store the gasket away from direct sunlight, ozone sources and high heat to preserve EPDM properties. Use within the temperature and chemical exposure limits typical for EPDM elastomers; avoid prolonged contact with strong oils, hydrocarbons or concentrated acids which can degrade the material. For long-term reliability, inspect joints periodically and replace the gasket if signs of hardening, cracking or permanent deformation are present.
