The Riello MULTICOM-302 protocol converter enables monitoring and communication for UPS systems and transfer switches via Modbus/Jbus protocols. It provides two serial interfaces: a dedicated RS232 line for connection to the UPS and a secondary port configurable as RS232 or RS485, allowing integration with management and shutdown software such as PowerShield³ on a connected PC.

How to use

Install the MULTICOM-302 according to the UPS manufacturer’s installation instructions. Connect the dedicated RS232 port to the UPS serial interface, and configure the second port as RS232 or RS485 depending on your network requirements. Attach the other end of the secondary port to a PC running appropriate management software (for example, PowerShield³) or to an RS485 network.
