Power distribution unit Rittal 7979.336 Switched PDU 30 AC outlets (24×C13, 6×C19) 400 V 16 A 11 kW Black
Rittal 7979.336 Switched PDU delivers centralized power distribution for racks and data-centre environments, providing 30 AC outlets (24×C13 and 6×C19) with a nominal input of 400 V, maximum current 16 A and maximum power 11 kW. The unit features an aluminium housing in black, a 3 m input cable and network management interfaces that support SNMP v1/v2c/v3, Modbus/TCP, OPC‑UA, IPv4/IPv6, HTTP/HTTPS and secure protocols for remote monitoring and control.
The switched design allows individual outlet control and remote management for load balancing and scheduled power cycling. Comprehensive network protocol support enables integration with common monitoring systems and secure remote access. The combination of 24 C13 and 6 C19 sockets covers a wide range of IT equipment while the 16 A / 11 kW rating supports typical rack power requirements. The aluminium black enclosure provides robust mechanical protection while remaining compact for rack-mounted installation.
This PDU is designed for environments with a 400 V nominal supply and a maximum current of 16 A; it is not suitable where single-phase 230 V circuits or higher current-carrying capacity are required. It is not intended as a replacement for uninterrupted power supplies (UPS) where battery-backed runtime is necessary.
Mount the PDU in a compatible rack or cabinet according to rack unit dimensions and secure it to the mounting rails. Connect the 3 m input cable to the appropriate 400 V supply source using qualified electrical installation practices. Configure network settings and security credentials via the web interface or supported management protocols (SNMP, Modbus/TCP, OPC‑UA) to enable remote monitoring and control. Assign outlets to devices and use the switched functionality for power sequencing, scheduled reboots or manual outlet control as required for maintenance and load management.
For reliable operation, document connected device power ratings and avoid exceeding the 16 A maximum current. Use the PDU's network management features to implement orderly power sequencing and to monitor per-outlet load. Ensure electrical installation is performed by qualified personnel and consider combining the PDU with UPS and surge protection where continuity and transient protection are required.
