Hook Spanner Rockforce RF-685C145 135–145 mm adjustment

The Hook Spanner Rockforce RF-685C145 135–145 mm adjustment is a manual tool for turning and adjusting round nuts, collars and threaded rings that have suitable slots or notches. Constructed to engage securely with mating profiles, this hook spanner delivers controlled torque for maintenance and assembly tasks in automotive, industrial and workshop environments. The adjustable jaw span covers diameters from 135 to 145 mm, enabling use on medium‑to‑large fittings where a hooked tip is required for positive engagement.

Advantages

This Rockforce hook spanner is designed to provide a reliable fit on rings and collars within the specified diameter range, reducing the risk of slippage during adjustment. The hooked tip and shaped body allow precise positioning in slots and notches, and the solid construction offers durability under repeated use. Its manual operation requires no power source and gives the user direct control over applied torque, which is useful for delicate adjustments and tightening or loosening components without over‑torquing.

Suitable for

• Adjusting locknuts, threaded collars and retaining rings with matching slots or holes
• Automotive suspension and steering assembly and maintenance
• Industrial machinery maintenance and pump or gearbox servicing
• Workshop assembly tasks where controlled manual torque is required

Key specifications

• Adjustment range: 135–145 mm (jaw span suitable for outer diameters within this range)
• Tool type: single‑ended hook spanner with hooked tip for slot engagement
• Drive: manual hand tool, no power required
• Typical materials: forged or heat‑treated steel for strength and wear resistance
• Finish: corrosion‑resistant coating or plating to withstand workshop conditions

How to use

Select the spanner and adjust its position so the hooked tip engages fully into a slot or notch on the nut, collar or ring. Apply steady, controlled force to turn the component in the required direction; use gradual motion to avoid sudden slips. For tightening, turn in the specified direction until the required fit or torque is achieved; for loosening, apply force opposite to the tightening direction. If access is limited, orient the tool so the body clears adjacent parts while the hook remains seated. Inspect the engagement during use and reposition the hook if it starts to slip.

Usage recommendations

Use the hook spanner within its intended 135–145 mm range and verify the mating profile provides a secure slot or notch for the hooked tip. Avoid using excessive impact force or prying, and combine with appropriate safety measures such as eye protection and stable work supports. Regularly inspect the hooked tip for wear and replace the tool if deformation or significant wear is present to maintain safe and accurate adjustments.
