Clip-on microphone RØDE LAVALIER GO

Lavalier GO is a professional wearable microphone with a 3.5 mm TRS connector engineered to work with the RØDE Wireless GO and other devices that have a 3.5 mm TRS microphone input. The microphone uses a compact 4.5 mm omnidirectional capsule and is available in both black and white to suit different clothing and shooting conditions.

How to use

Connect the 3.5 mm TRS plug to the microphone input of the Wireless GO or the target recorder. Position the 4.5 mm omnidirectional capsule on the talent’s clothing—typically near the chest area—using the mounting clip. Use the built-in cable management to route excess cable and attach the foam pop shield over the capsule when needed to reduce wind noise and plosives. Test levels before recording and adjust the host’s distance or placement for optimal clarity.

Recommendations

For best results, place the microphone on stable clothing (not overly textured or noisy fabrics) and avoid placing it directly under jackets or against necklaces that may rub. Use the white version for concealment on light-coloured garments and the pop shield in outdoor or windy conditions.
