Studio boom arm Rode Microphones PSA1+ with purple holder, professional microphone suspension arm
The RØDE PSA-1+ broadcast microphone stand is a desk-mount boom arm designed for studio, podcasting and broadcasting environments. With a maximum height of 94 cm and a compact desk mount footprint of 65 × 100 mm, the PSA-1+ offers extended reach, full 360° rotation and a threaded desk mount plus desk clamp included for flexible installation. The arm ships with a 3/8" to 5/8" adaptor and is finished in purple to suit coloured studio setups.
The PSA-1+ features an innovative parallelogram spring design that preserves microphone placement while allowing smooth vertical and horizontal adjustment. Fully damped internal springs and a neoprene arm cover minimise mechanical noise, and rubber contact points reduce transfer of knocks and desk vibrations. Integrated cable management keeps XLR and USB cables tidy and out of the way, and the mounting system supports a wide range of microphones and shockmounts for reliable, stable operation.
Mount the PSA-1+ to your desk using either the padded clamp or the threaded desk mount depending on your desk thickness and preference. Fit the adaptor and attach your microphone or shockmount to the end thread, then route your microphone cable through the integrated cable management channels. Adjust arm height and angle by moving the parallelogram arms; the internal springs provide smooth, controlled movement while locking nuts set and secure the final microphone angle. Position the microphone for end- or side-address use as required.
For quiet operation, ensure cables are seated fully in the cable management channels and that rubber contact points make direct contact with the desk surface. Use the included adaptor for thread compatibility and avoid exceeding the recommended weight range to maintain smooth movement and spring damping performance.
