Video Editing Controller Roland V-1HD
The Roland V-1HD is a portable compact HD switcher designed for live video production and streaming. It connects multiple HDMI sources — such as video cameras, action cameras, smartphones, tablets, computers and Blu-ray players — and enables real-time switching, picture-in-picture, split-screen and keying for green-screen or graphic overlays. The unit includes hardware controls, a T-bar fader and EFFECTS knobs for on-the-fly adjustments, plus two HDMI outputs and a built-in 12-channel audio mixer.
The V-1HD offers four HDMI inputs and supports up to Full HD 1080p, providing flexible source management in a compact footprint (313 × 102 × 59 mm). Dedicated hardware controls — buttons, jog dial and T-bar fader — make operation straightforward without complex menus. Integrated picture-in-picture, split functions and keying allow professional compositing for titling and green-screen workflows. Two EFFECTS knobs deliver visual effects control, and the built-in 12-channel audio mixer and dual HDMI outputs simplify multi-destination setups. Remote control is available via USB or MIDI.
Connect up to four HDMI sources to the input ports and route the desired program output to one or both HDMI outputs. Use the hardware buttons and T-bar fader to switch between sources and the EFFECTS knobs to adjust transitions and compositing effects such as picture-in-picture and keying. Adjust audio levels with the built-in 12-channel mixer and use the jog dial for fine control of parameters. For remote operation, connect via USB or MIDI to a compatible controller or computer.
For reliable performance, use HDMI cables rated for 1080p, ensure source devices are set to compatible output resolutions, and test keying and picture-in-picture layouts before live events. Keep the unit in a ventilated area and back up your configuration where applicable.
