Ferrite Filter Sleeve ROLINE 6.5 mm — noise suppression choke, white
Ferrite Filter Sleeve ROLINE 6.5 mm — noise suppression choke, white
ROLINE ferrite filter sleeve with a 6.5 mm inner diameter is a compact noise suppression choke designed to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI/RFI) on cables and wires. The cylindrical white ferrite bead is housed in a nylon clip casing that provides mechanical protection and allows simple slip-on or clip-on assembly, improving signal integrity on power, signal and data lines in computer and peripheral setups.
The split design and clip-style nylon casing enable quick retrofitting without disconnecting cables, while the secure clamp prevents accidental detachment and protects the ferrite core from damage. The sleeve is rated with a flame-retardant casing material (UL 94-V-0), ensuring stable performance in typical electronics environments. Its universal inner diameter suits a wide range of single-core cables and cords used for PC, peripherals and general data applications.
Open the split casing and position the cable inside the ferrite sleeve so the conductor passes through the ferrite core. Close the clip until it snaps into place; the casing clamps securely around the cable. For improved suppression, place the sleeve as close as possible to the connector or the noise source. Multiple sleeves can be installed along the cable for additional attenuation of high-frequency interference.
Use this ferrite filter sleeve on single-core cables with diameters close to 6.5 mm; for thicker multi-conductor or shielded cables consider alternative ferrite sizes or split-core solutions. Avoid forcing cables with significantly larger diameters into the sleeve to prevent casing damage and compromised EMI performance.
