D-Sub connector casing 9-pin / HD15 ROLINE, black, 30×30×15 mm
ROLINE D-Sub connector casing 9-pin / HD15 is a compact black plastic housing measuring 30 × 30 × 15 mm, designed to protect and enclose D-Sub plug connectors during assembly, repair or small electronic projects. The housing accepts both 9-pin and HD15 D-Sub plugs and provides a neat protective shell for cable assemblies and panel connections. The product is supplied without the connector itself and is intended as a protective enclosure and strain relief solution.
The casing is a screwed, stable plastic construction that offers mechanical protection and tidy cable routing. Integrated internal strain reduction helps prevent cable stress at the solder or crimp joints, reducing the risk of connection failures. The included UN-4-40 locking screws are captive so they cannot be lost during installation or maintenance. Its compact dimensions make this casing suitable where space is limited.
Open the two-part casing and position the D-Sub plug connector inside so that the connector pins and cable routing align with the housing recesses. Route the cable through the strain relief area and close the casing around the connector. Secure the two halves with the supplied UN-4-40 locking screws until snug; do not overtighten. The captive screws remain attached to one half of the shell to prevent loss during assembly or maintenance.
Use the casing for standard cable assemblies and panel-mounted connections where basic mechanical protection and strain relief are required. Ensure cables are correctly seated in the internal strain relief before tightening screws. Avoid exposure to harsh chemicals or excessive heat that could deform the plastic housing.
