EDID Adapter ROLINE ROLINE EDID Feeder 14.01.3412
The ROLINE EDID Feeder 14.01.3412 is a compact EDID adapter that sits between a computer and a KVM switch or video extender to manage Extended Display Identification Data (EDID). It supports up to 2560 x 1600 nominal resolution, uses two DVI-D female connectors, and comes in a metal housing. The unit is supplied with a power adapter and is intended to ensure correct video resolution and handshaking between sources and displays.
The device provides three operating modes—EDID Ghost (DDC Ghost), EDID Emulation and EDID Writing—allowing you to read and store a display's EDID, emulate EDID information when a display's EDID is unavailable, or upload a copied or default EDID to a connected video device. Its compact metal housing and DVI-D connectivity make it suitable for integration with KVM switches and extenders while maintaining a high nominal resolution.
Place the EDID Feeder between the computer (source) and the KVM switch or video extender using the DVI-D connections. Select the required mode: use EDID Ghost to read and record the EDID from the connected display; choose EDID Emulation to provide a default or copied EDID when the display EDID is absent; or select EDID Writing to upload a copied or pre-programmed EDID into the connected video device. Apply power using the supplied adapter and confirm successful operation by checking the display output resolution and stability.
When installing, ensure all DVI-D connections are secure and select the EDID mode that matches your setup (reading first when capturing a display EDID). Use EDID Emulation for reliable output when displays are connected through long extenders or KVMs, and perform EDID Writing only when a stable, tested EDID is available to avoid mismatches.
