Online UPS ROLINE ProSecure III 1000 RM2U
The ROLINE ProSecure III 1000 RM2U is an online double-conversion UPS designed for 19" rack installations to protect essential computer systems and servers. It delivers a nominal output voltage of 230 V, a high efficiency of around 95% and a compact 2U form factor (88 x 428 x 425 mm) with a weight of 17 kg. The unit provides comprehensive protection against power failure, sag, surge, under- and over-voltage, switch transients, line noise, frequency variation and harmonic distortion, and includes an LCD front panel for status monitoring.
The UPS uses true online double-conversion technology and produces a pure sine-wave output with less than 3% THD, ensuring stable power for sensitive IT equipment. It is fully digitized and microprocessor controlled, supports hot-swappable batteries and advanced battery management (ABM), and offers selectable high-efficiency and fan-speed auto control to optimise performance and energy use. Integrated communications (USB and RS-232) and bundled management software enable monitoring and graceful shutdowns across multiple operating systems. Additional built-in protections include lightning/surge protection, modem/network surge protection and short-circuit/overload protection.
Install the UPS in a compatible 19" rack following the manufacturer's rack-mount instructions. Connect critical equipment to the UPS output receptacles and attach monitoring cables (USB or RS-232) to a management station if required. Configure the LCD settings and management software to match site voltage and language preferences. For battery operation, the UPS supports cold start (DC start) and hot-swappable battery replacement; follow safety procedures when replacing batteries. Use the EPO connection where a remote emergency-off function is required.
Place the UPS in a ventilated rack space, avoid blocking airflow, and maintain recommended ambient temperature for battery longevity. Regularly run automatic diagnostics and follow the battery replacement warnings indicated on the unit and in the management software to ensure continued backup availability.
