Fibre optic connector ROLINE 21.17.0051 SC/SC Female OS2
Fibre optic connector ROLINE 21.17.0051 SC/SC Female OS2
ROLINE 21.17.0051 SC/SC Female OS2 is an inline fibre optic adapter designed for single-mode OS2 networks. The adapter provides SC duplex interfacing with female connectors on both ends, enabling low-loss single-mode connections between SC-terminated patch cords, patch panels and fibre enclosures. The compact keystone-format plastic housing and ceramic ferrule sleeve ensure stable alignment and optical performance while keeping weight minimal for easy installation and handling.
The adapter supports single-mode OS2 transmissions and features a ceramic sleeve for precise ferrule alignment, reducing insertion loss and back reflection. Its keystone format allows straightforward mounting in compatible front plates or modules, and the durable plastic housing offers mechanical stability in patch panels and enclosures. The lightweight design simplifies handling and installation without compromising connection reliability.
Install the keystone-format adapter into a compatible front plate or module by pressing it into the keystone opening until it locks. To connect fibres, insert SC-terminated single-mode patch cords into each side of the adapter until they click in place, ensuring clean connectors and proper insertion to maintain low loss. For inline extension of jumper cables, align the SC plugs with the adapter openings and insert firmly. When disconnecting, depress any retention clips on the patch cords and pull straight out to avoid bending the fibres.
Use with clean SC single-mode connectors and observe standard fibre handling practices: keep endfaces protected with dust caps when not in use, clean connectors before mating, avoid sharp bends and excessive tension on cables, and perform insertion loss or reflectance checks when integrating into critical single-mode links.
