Fibre optic connector ROLINE LC/LC Male OS2 14.9×29.2×9.4 mm
Fibre optic connector ROLINE LC/LC Male OS2 14.9×29.2×9.4 mm
ROLINE LC/LC Male OS2 fibre optic connector (model 21.17.0058) is a compact inline adapter that provides LC connector interfaces on both ends for single-mode OS2 fibres. With a housing size of 14.9 × 29.2 × 9.4 mm, this keystone-format connector is designed to fit into fibre front plates, patch panels or to extend fibre jumper cables where space-saving LC terminations are required. The product is intended for use in optical links and equipment interconnects that use single-mode OS2 cabling.
The connector offers a compact keystone-format housing that simplifies installation into standard front plates and patch panels. Ceramic ferrule sleeves ensure stable optical alignment and low insertion loss for OS2 single-mode fibres. The design provides LC interfaces on both ends, allowing easy extension of LC jumper cables or direct inline connection of fibre links without bulky adapters.
Insert the LC/LC connector into the compatible keystone opening of a front plate or patch panel, or connect LC-terminated jumper cables directly to each end. Ensure fibre connectors are clean before mating; align and gently push each LC plug into the adapter until it latches. To remove, depress the LC latch and pull straight out. Follow normal fibre handling procedures to avoid bending the fibre beyond its minimum bend radius and to maintain connector end-face cleanliness.
Use appropriate fibre cleaning tools (lint-free wipes and isopropyl alcohol or dedicated fibre cleaner) before making connections and keep protective caps in place when the connector is not in use. Verify link performance after installation using an appropriate fibre test instrument to confirm insertion loss and return loss meet system requirements.
