Fibre optic connector ROLINE 21.17.0059 LC/LC Male OM2, 14.9×29.2×9.4 mm
ROLINE 21.17.0059 LC/LC Male OM2 is an LC duplex fibre optic connector intended for OM2 multimode fibre links. The compact component measures 14.9 × 29.2 × 9.4 mm and offers male LC/LC interfacing suitable for patching, module terminations and keystone-style front plate installations in network racks, server rooms and telecommunication cabinets that use OM2 multimode cabling.
The connector provides a keystone-format housing made of high-quality plastic that fits standard keystone cutouts and simplifies installation. Ceramic ferrule sleeves ensure stable optical alignment and low insertion loss appropriate for multimode jumper connections. Its LC duplex form factor allows space-efficient duplex connections, and the male LC/LC gender is suitable for direct mating with compatible female ports or adapters.
Insert the keystone-format connector into a compatible keystone opening in a front plate or patch panel until it snaps into place. Mate the LC male ends with compatible female LC ports or adapters, ensuring proper alignment to avoid increased insertion loss. Use OM2 multimode jumper cables that match the connector type. Handle ferrule endfaces carefully and clean them before connection to maintain optical performance.
Before installation, verify that the installation environment and cabling are specified for OM2 multimode operation. Clean connector endfaces with appropriate fibre cleaning tools and inspect for damage. Avoid excessive bending of multimode fibre near the connector and secure the cable to reduce strain on the keystone housing.
