19-inch server cabinet ROLINE Basic 42U, freestanding perforated doors, 800x1000 mm, 600 kg, IP20, grey
ROLINE Basic 42U 19-inch freestanding server cabinet with a footprint of 800 x 1000 mm and perforated front and rear doors designed for improved airflow. The cabinet includes two pairs of galvanised, reversible and depth-adjustable 19" rack rails and supports up to 600 kg of equipment. Its steel construction with sheet thickness up to 1.5 mm and electrostatic powder coating in grey (RAL 7035) ensures robust physical protection. Cable inlets in the base chassis and additional inlets on side panels and roof (for 800 mm width) simplify cable routing, and the roof includes a punched area for an optional fan module. The cabinet offers IP20 protection, removable side and rear panels, a lockable removable front door with interchangeable hinge and the possibility to fully dismantle the enclosure for transport or installation.
The perforated front and rear doors provide continuous ventilation across active equipment while maintaining a sturdy enclosure. Adjustable and reversible 19" rails allow flexible mounting of servers and networking gear at different depths, and additional depth struts increase stability under load. Multiple cable inlet points and a protected base inlet enable organised cable entry without requiring modifications to the chassis. The steel construction and powder-coated finish resist everyday wear while the removable panels and door facilitate straightforward access for installation and maintenance.
Position the freestanding cabinet on a stable, level floor and adjust the feet for correct levelling. Remove the lockable front door and side panels as needed to mount equipment on the included 19" rails; rails can be reversed and adjusted in depth to match device mounting requirements. Route cables through the base inlet or the additional side and roof inlets and secure them using appropriate cable ties or management accessories. If active cooling is required, install a compatible fan module in the roof punched area. After equipment installation, reattach panels and the front door, lock the door if required, and verify stability and grounding before powering devices.
For optimal airflow, install heavier or heat-generating devices lower in the rack and maintain clear front-to-rear air paths through the perforated doors. Ensure the cabinet is properly grounded and evenly load the rails to avoid exceeding the 600 kg static capacity. Use the roof fan option when ambient temperatures or equipment density require forced ventilation, and plan cable routing through the designated inlets to keep access and serviceability straightforward.
