19-inch Server Cabinet ROLINE Basic 42U, freestanding perforated 800×1000 mm, IP20, 600 kg
ROLINE 19-inch Server Cabinet Basic 42U is a freestanding perforated rack with internal dimensions 800 × 1000 mm (W × D) and 42U mounting height. Designed for server and network equipment, the cabinet supports loads up to 600 kg and meets IP20 protection class. The enclosure uses a robust steel construction with sheet thicknesses up to 1.5 mm, electrostatic powder coating in grey (RAL 7035), removable side and rear panels, and a lockable removable front door. Cable inlets are integrated in the base chassis and roof, with additional inlets for 800 mm width enclosures; the roof includes a punched area for a fan module. Two pairs of galvanised adjustable 19" mounting rails are fitted inside and can be readjusted in depth for flexible installation.
The ROLINE Basic 42U cabinet offers a durable steel structure and practical access features that simplify installation and maintenance of server and network equipment. Adjustable depth rails and multiple cable inlets provide flexible cable management and device placement. Perforated panels and the roof fan provision support passive and active thermal management. The removable and reversible door and detachable panels enable easier transport and on-site configuration.
Place the freestanding cabinet on a level surface and adjust the feet to ensure stability. Remove the appropriate panels or door to access the interior, then mount equipment on the 19" rails, adjusting rail depth to suit device depth. Route network and power cabling through the base, side or roof inlets as required and secure cables to keep airflow unobstructed. If additional ventilation is needed, install a compatible fan module in the roof punched area. After installation, replace panels and lock the front door to secure equipment.
For reliable operation, distribute equipment weight evenly across mounting rails and avoid exceeding the specified 600 kg load capacity. Keep perforated panels and ventilation openings clear of obstructions to maintain airflow. Use appropriate earthing and follow local electrical and safety regulations when routing power and grounding the cabinet.
