Freestanding rack ROLINE 19-inch server rack Pro 42U 600x1000 grey
The ROLINE 19-inch server rack Pro 42U 600x1000 grey is a freestanding network enclosure designed for professional server and network equipment installation. It provides 42U of usable rack space and supports a maximum static weight capacity of 1000 kg. Constructed from robust steel with material thickness up to 2.0 mm and an electrostatically applied powder-coat finish in grey (RAL 7035), the cabinet combines a solid mechanical design with practical features for cable management, ventilation and equipment access. The enclosure includes two pairs of galvanised 19" profile rails with reversible unit markings and adjustable depth, perforated single-leaf front door and double-leaf rear doors with swivel handles and profile half cylinder locks, and a perforated roof suitable for fan module installation.
The rack offers a high load capacity and stable freestanding construction that suits heavy server installations. Built-in cable inlets with brushes, a slide-on inlet with foam rubber seal and an additional brush inlet in the base chassis provide flexible cable routing while maintaining dust protection at entry points. Perforated doors and a vented roof improve airflow through the enclosure, and removable, lockable side panels increase accessibility for installation and maintenance. The cabinet’s modular design allows disassembly for transport or site-specific reconfiguration.
Place the cabinet on a stable, level surface and adjust the levelling feet to ensure vertical alignment. Install the galvanised 19" profile rails at the desired positions and set their depth according to the equipment mounting requirements, reading the unit markings for accurate alignment. Route power and network cabling through the side and base inlets fitted with brushes or through the slide-on inlet with foam rubber seal to protect against dust ingress. Mount server and networking equipment using standard 19" rack mounting hardware and secure doors and side panels after installation. If additional ventilation is required, install compatible fan modules in the perforated roof opening and ensure unobstructed airflow through the perforated doors.
Use proper rail mounting kits and follow weight distribution best practices: place heavier devices lower in the cabinet to maintain stability. Ensure cable entry points are sealed with the supplied brush inlets or foam inlet to reduce dust ingress. Maintain clear airflow paths by using blanking panels where free U‑spaces exist and consider installing fan modules if ambient temperatures or equipment heat loads require active ventilation.
