The ROLINE Pro 16U wall-mounted 19" rack cabinet provides a compact, secure housing for network and server equipment. With internal dimensions of 600 x 450 mm (W x D), 16U of 19" mounting height and an integrated key lock, the cabinet is intended for on-wall installations in small server rooms, network closets and other spaces where a durable, space-saving enclosure is needed. The cabinet is constructed from up to 1.5 mm sheet steel, finished in black (RAL 9005) and offers IP20 protection.

Advantages

The enclosure includes a slide-on cable inlet in the roof with a foam rubber seal, punched cable inlets with plastic covers on the rear panel and base plate, and an optional punched area in the roof for a fan module. Inside there are a pair of galvanised profile rails (483 mm / 19") adjustable in depth to accommodate different equipment depths. Side panels and the front door are modular, lockable and removable for improved accessibility. Wall mounting is simplified into two steps: screw the rear panel to the wall and then attach the housing. Optional levelling feet or castors can convert the cabinet to a free-standing unit.

When it may not be suitable

This 16U cabinet is relatively compact and is not suitable for larger rack-mounted systems or extensive power and cooling equipment. It provides IP20-level protection only, so it is not intended for dusty, wet or outdoor environments where higher ingress protection or specialised environmental controls are required.

How to use

First fix the rear panel to the mounting wall using appropriate fasteners for the wall material. Slide the cabinet housing onto the secured rear panel and fasten it in place. Fit equipment onto the 19" rails, adjusting their depth as required and securing devices with appropriate rack screws. Use the roof inlet and rear/base punched entries to route cables; install a fan module in the roof punched area if additional cooling is needed. Lock the front door with the integrated key lock after installation to restrict access.

What to consider before purchase

• Required internal depth and 16U height must suit your equipment dimensions
• IP20 protection is for indoor, dry environments only
• Check whether additional cooling (fan module) or free-standing feet/castors are needed

Usage recommendations

Install heavier equipment lower in the rack to maintain stability, use cable management to avoid blocking ventilation areas, and verify total load capacity before adding equipment. For locations with higher dust or moisture, choose an enclosure with a higher IP rating or place the cabinet in a controlled environment.
