ROLINE 19-inch Server Cabinet Basic 42U is a freestanding network enclosure designed for mounting standard 19" equipment in data centres, server rooms and network closets. The cabinet provides an internal footprint of 800 × 1000 mm (W×D), perforated front and rear panels for improved airflow, adjustable feet for leveling and two pairs of galvanised, reversible 19" profile rails with depth adjustment. The robust steel body with up to 1.5 mm sheet thickness and electrostatic powder coating in black (RAL 9005) ensures a stable mounting platform with an indicated load capacity of up to 600 kg and IP20 protection.

How to use

Place the cabinet on a level floor and adjust the feet until the enclosure is stable. Remove the front, rear or side panels as required to install rails and equipment. Mount 19" devices on the provided profile rails, adjusting rail depth to suit device depth and securing devices with appropriate rack screws. Route cables through the base, roof or side inlets and secure them using available internal cable management accessories. If active ventilation is required, fit a compatible fan module into the roof punched area and connect to the facility power supply following the fan manufacturer instructions. Refit and lock the front door and side panels after installation to maintain physical security.

Usage recommendations

For optimal airflow, position heavier heat-generating equipment lower in the rack and leave ventilation paths clear. Use proper cable management to avoid obstructing perforated doors and to maintain cooling efficiency. Verify that the total installed equipment weight does not exceed the cabinet's 600 kg load rating and ensure the floor can support the loaded cabinet.
