Fabric Cover for DIY School Cone ROTH 100% Microfiber 120 g/m², Turquoise, Iron-On, 1 Piece
ROTH Fabric Cover for DIY School Cone is a single turquoise iron-on cover made from 100% microfiber with a fabric weight of 120 g/m². The cover is tailored for decorating, re-covering or finishing school cones (Schultüte) and provides a smooth, even surface that accepts heat-activated adhesive for quick application. Its microfiber composition gives a soft handfeel while remaining stable for sewing and embellishment.
The microfiber material ensures a fine, even texture that is easy to iron and less prone to creasing compared with heavier woven fabrics. At 120 g/m² the cover balances lightness and durability, allowing for neat folding and shaping of the cone. The single-piece turquoise design simplifies colour coordination for themed projects and the iron-on finish speeds up attachment to a support cone or existing cover. The fabric is suitable for additional sewing, gluing and attachment of decorative elements.
The cover is relatively lightweight and intended for decorative and craft use; it is not designed to carry heavy loads or serve as a structural component in large-scale constructions. If you need a very stiff or water-resistant exterior, this microfiber cover alone may not provide the required rigidity or protection without additional backing or coatings.
Position the turquoise cover over the cone or template, aligning edges and any decorative openings. Use a household iron according to the iron-on adhesive manufacturer’s instructions and the fabric’s heat tolerance: apply even pressure and heat to bond the cover to the cone surface. After cooling, trim excess material and secure edges with stitching or craft glue where additional strength is needed. Finish with chosen decorations such as ribbons, appliqués or fabric paints.
For best results, pre-test ironing on a fabric scrap and use a protective press cloth to avoid direct contact between the iron and microfiber surface. If extra stiffness is required, add a lightweight interfacing or a thin cardboard cone inside before adhering the cover. Store the cover flat or gently rolled to prevent creases prior to use.
