Tile cutter RUBI 05973 manual with adjustable cutting depth — RUBI 05973

Manual tile cutter RUBI 05973 is a handheld tool for cutting ceramic and similar tiles, designed for score-and-snap operations with an adjustable cutting depth. The cutter gives the user control over the depth of the score to match different tile thicknesses and densities, making on-site sizing and trimming straightforward for renovation, installation and light professional work. The tool's compact design and mechanical adjustment system allow quick setup and consistent cuts without power supply.

Advantages

The adjustable cutting depth enables accurate scoring across a range of tile thicknesses, reducing the risk of imperfect snaps and breakage. Its manual operation provides portability and use in locations without electricity, while the compact construction simplifies handling in confined spaces. The tool is compatible with standard scoring wheels used for ceramic and similar materials, offering predictable cutting results for repetitive tasks.

Suitable for

• On-site ceramic tile trimming and sizing during renovations
• Floor and wall tile installation where precise score depth is required
• Light professional use by tilers needing a portable manual cutter
• Small repair jobs and adjustments without access to power tools

Key specifications

• Manual, handheld score-and-snap tile cutter with depth adjustment
• Adjustable cutting depth to suit various tile thicknesses
• Compact, lightweight mechanical design for portability
• Suitable for ceramic and similar tile materials
• Operates without electrical power

How to use

Set the cutting depth to match the thickness and hardness of the tile to be cut. Place the tile on a stable surface and align the scoring wheel with the desired cut line. Apply steady pressure and draw the scoring wheel along the tile in a single continuous motion to create an even score. After scoring, position the tile so that the score line is supported and apply controlled pressure to snap the tile along the line. Repeat as needed, checking depth settings when changing tile type.

Usage recommendations

For best results, test the cutting depth on a scrap piece of tile to ensure a clean score and snap. Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and gloves. Maintain the scoring wheel in good condition and replace it when signs of wear reduce scoring quality. Avoid forcing the score; ensure a continuous, even scoring stroke for predictable breaks.
