Fineliner pen Sakura Pigma Micron 005, green, 0.2 mm tip, permanent pigment ink
The Sakura Pigma Micron 005 fineliner in green features a 0.2 mm metal-clad tip and permanent pigment ink formulated for precise line work, technical drawing, illustration and archival-quality notes. The pen delivers consistent ink flow with a fine, controlled line suitable for detailed sketches, lettering and annotation. Its pigment-based ink is fade-resistant and water-resistant once dry, making the fineliner appropriate for work that needs to remain legible and stable over time.
The Micron 005 provides a reliably thin 0.2 mm line that supports fine detail and neat cross-hatching without bleeding on many common drawing papers. Permanent pigment ink resists fading and moisture after drying, helping preserve drawings and notes. The single-piece fineliner construction gives consistent ink flow and predictable line weight for technical and artistic applications.
The 0.2 mm tip is intended for very fine lines and is not suited to broad strokes, filling large areas or calligraphy styles that require flexible nibs. On very rough or fibrous papers the tip may wear faster and line quality can degrade; for heavy shading or marker-like coverage a broader tip or marker should be used instead.
Hold the pen at a comfortable writing angle and apply light, consistent pressure to maintain the fine 0.2 mm line without splaying the tip. Allow ink to dry fully before touching or layering other media to ensure water-resistance and reduced smudging. For detailed work, use a light hand and short strokes; for consistent cross-hatching follow a steady stroke rhythm. Cap the pen after use to prevent the tip from drying out.
Use the Sakura Pigma Micron 005 for tasks that require crisp, archival-quality lines: fine technical details, inked illustrations, precise annotations and any work where long-term legibility is important. Store horizontally or capped to extend tip life and test on scrap paper when switching to a new surface.
