The Samsung PM1653 3.84 TB 2.5" SAS V-NAND is an enterprise-class solid state drive designed for server and workstation use. It employs 24G SAS connectivity and Samsung's 128-layer V‑NAND to deliver high capacity and accelerated data throughput for demanding storage environments.
The drive offers class-leading performance through 24G SAS and a high-bandwidth controller, providing significantly higher sequential and random I/O compared with the previous generation. Dual-port design adds fault tolerance by allowing continuous service checks and failover between ports, improving stability for mission-critical systems. High-density 128-layer V‑NAND enables large capacity in a 2.5" form factor suitable for enterprise-scale deployments.
This enterprise SSD is optimized for server and workstation environments and may be excessive for typical desktop or consumer use where such high IOPS, dual-port fault tolerance, and 24G SAS connectivity are unnecessary.
