Sanitas PPR Plumbing End Cap 20 mm
The Sanitas PPR plumbing end cap is a high-quality fitting engineered for the secure sealing of 20 mm polypropylene pipes. Designed for durability and performance, this component is an essential element for closing off pipe runs in both residential and commercial water supply and heating systems. Its robust construction ensures a reliable, leak-proof barrier that maintains the integrity of your plumbing infrastructure over time.
This end cap is manufactured from premium polypropylene, which offers excellent resistance to corrosion and chemical degradation. The material ensures a long service life even under varying temperature conditions. Its precise design allows for a seamless fit with standard 20 mm PPR pipes, facilitating a quick and efficient installation process. By utilizing thermal welding, the fitting creates a homogeneous connection that is highly resistant to pressure and mechanical stress, ensuring maximum safety for your plumbing network.
This fitting is specifically designed for 20 mm polypropylene pipes and is not compatible with metal pipes or pipes made from different plastic materials. It should not be used in systems where operating temperatures consistently exceed 60°C or fall below 5°C, as this may compromise the structural integrity of the polypropylene material.
To install the Sanitas PPR end cap, ensure the pipe end is cut square and is clean and free of debris. Use a specialized PPR welding tool to heat both the outer surface of the pipe and the inner surface of the end cap simultaneously according to the welding tool manufacturer's instructions. Once the required temperature is reached, remove the tool and immediately push the end cap onto the pipe without twisting. Hold the pieces firmly in place for a few seconds until the material cools and sets, creating a permanent, leak-proof seal.
Always follow the specific heating times recommended by your welding tool manufacturer to ensure a secure bond. Do not apply excessive force during installation, and allow the joint to cool completely before subjecting the system to water pressure.
