Door/window sensor SATEL K-3 — wired aluminium housing, 20 V input, 24 g
SATEL K-3 is a wired door/window magnetic contact sensor in a sealed aluminium housing, designed for flush mounting in doors and window frames. The device consists of two watertight parts: a reed (magnetic) switch and a magnet. When both parts are in contact the circuit remains closed; separating them opens the circuit and signals an intrusion or change of state. The sensor is intended for connection to alarm control panels with NC inputs and can also be used as a control element in automation systems. The unit accepts a 20 V input and has a lightweight construction of approximately 24 g.
The sealed aluminium body provides mechanical protection and a discreet, durable finish suitable for recessed installation. Flush-mount design allows the sensor elements to be screwed into prepared holes in wooden or plastic frames for an unobtrusive fit. Being a hardwired magnetic contact ensures continuous, reliable signaling without dependence on batteries or wireless links. Compatibility with NC inputs and common automation systems makes the sensor versatile for perimeter protection and access control applications.
Prepare appropriately sized holes in the door or window frame for flush mounting, then insert and screw the two aluminium parts so that the faces of the reed switch and the magnet are aligned and make contact in the closed position. Connect the sensor wiring to the alarm control panel or automation input according to the panel manufacturer’s NC input wiring instructions and the 2EOL termination requirements. Verify correct operation by opening and closing the door or window and checking the control panel for corresponding state changes.
Install the sensor in locations where the magnet and reed switch can be aligned precisely and protected from direct mechanical impact or moisture ingress at the joint. Use the specified 2EOL (1.1 kΩ) termination and ensure wiring is routed to avoid strain; follow the alarm panel manufacturer’s guidance for NC input connections and testing.
