SAVIO AK-40 HDD/SSD adapter 2.5" to 3.5" internal mounting bracket, black
SAVIO AK-40 is an internal HDD/SSD adapter that enables installing a 2.5-inch drive into a standard 3.5-inch drive bay. The adapter is made of metal, finished in black and preserves standard internal interface alignment so SATA power and data cables connect without modification. It is supplied with mounting screws to secure the 2.5-inch drive to the bracket and the bracket to the desktop PC chassis.
The metal construction provides stable support for 2.5" HDDs and SSDs while maintaining drive alignment in a 3.5" bay. The black finish offers a neutral appearance that integrates with most PC interiors. Including mounting screws simplifies installation and removes the need to source hardware separately. The adapter is lightweight yet rigid, helping to minimize unwanted movement of the installed drive.
Attach the 2.5" HDD or SSD to the adapter using the supplied screws so that the drive's mounting holes align with the bracket. Slide the assembled adapter into an available 3.5" bay in the PC case and fasten it with screws to the chassis. Connect the drive to the motherboard and power supply using the appropriate SATA data and power cables. Ensure the PC is powered off and disconnected from mains during installation.
Use the included screws and tighten them securely but without excessive force to avoid damaging the drive. Verify cable routing to prevent interference with fans or airflow inside the chassis. If installing an SSD, ensure the drive has firm contact with the bracket to minimize vibration; for mechanical 2.5" HDDs, check that mounting is secure to reduce noise and movement.
