Sax Flower Pot Model ISAX0-820-19 — SAX black plastic planter

The Sax Flower Pot Model ISAX0-820-19 is a black plastic planter intended for both indoor and outdoor plantings. This Sax black plastic planter has a neutral matte finish and a classic tapered cylinder shape that fits a range of decorative plants, herbs and potted flowers. The pot is made from durable plastic suitable for balconies, terraces, windowsills and garden displays and works with standard potting soil and routine drainage practices.

Advantages

This planter offers lightweight handling and easy repositioning compared with ceramic or terracotta alternatives. The plastic construction resists breakage and withstands typical outdoor exposure when placed in sheltered positions. The black color provides a neutral backdrop that highlights plant foliage and blooms while blending with modern and traditional décor. Maintenance is straightforward: the surface wipes clean and the pot is compatible with common liners, saucers and drainage amendments.

Suitable for

• Potted flowering plants for balconies and windowsills
• Herbs and small edible plants for kitchen or patio use
• Indoor decorative foliage where a lightweight container is preferred
• Temporary outdoor plantings and seasonal displays on terraces

When it may not be suitable

This Sax black plastic planter may not be the best choice where heavy-duty UV exposure and prolonged direct sunlight are present without any shelter, as long-term fading or material embrittlement can occur in some plastic containers. It is also less suitable for very large specimens or trees that require heavier, more stable containers to resist tipping.

Key specifications

• Material: plastic (durable polymer)
• Color: black
• Shape: tapered cylindrical planter
• Intended use: indoor and outdoor
• Compatibility: suitable for standard potting soils and drainage practices

How to use

Place the Sax black plastic planter on a stable, level surface and, if used outdoors, in a position where it receives the desired amount of light for the chosen plants. Add an appropriate drainage layer or use a saucer if needed, then fill with standard potting mix. Position the plant centrally, firm the soil around the roots and water thoroughly. For outdoor use, check drainage holes and raise the pot on feet or a tray to avoid waterlogging on flat surfaces.

What to consider before purchase

• Measure the available space to ensure the pot fits the intended location (balcony, windowsill, shelf).
• Choose plants that match the pot size and depth to allow adequate root space.
• Decide whether you need additional saucers, liners or a raised base for drainage and frost protection.
• Consider exposure to sunlight and wind; sheltered placement will extend the lifespan of plastic containers.

Usage recommendations

For best results, use a quality potting mix and ensure good drainage. Check watering needs regularly—plastic pots retain moisture longer than terracotta—and consider moving containers to sheltered locations during extreme weather. Clean the planter periodically with mild soap and water to maintain appearance and prevent salt buildup.
