How to use

Ensure the belt sander is switched off and unplugged before installing the sanding belt. Fit the 914 x 100 mm belt onto the drive and idler drums according to the sander manufacturer’s instructions, making sure the abrasive grain faces outward and the belt tracking is centered. Start the sander at low speed to check tracking, then adjust the tension and tracking controls as required. Use steady, even pressure and move the workpiece or sander along the material, allowing the abrasive to do the cutting. Change to a fresh belt from the set when cutting performance diminishes or the surface finish degrades.

Usage recommendations

For consistent results, use K120 belts for intermediate sanding stages—after coarse cutting and before fine finishing. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye protection, dust mask and hearing protection. Avoid excessive pressure, which can cause premature wear and overheating of the abrasive. Store belts flat or hung in a dry environment away from direct sunlight and high humidity to maintain backing integrity.
