SCHEURICH Corteza Freestanding Ceramic Pot Planter, Grey, Ø 19 cm
SCHEURICH Corteza freestanding ceramic pot, 19 cm diameter, is a glazed indoor planter designed for small to medium houseplants, succulents, herbs and decorative arrangements. Its smooth grey finish and stable ceramic construction make it suitable for tabletops, windowsills and shelves in homes or offices while providing a neutral look that fits a range of interior styles.
The ceramic body provides stable support and some thermal buffering for roots, while the glazed surface resists stains and moisture, making cleaning easier. The 19 cm top opening suits many common planting needs without taking up excessive space, and the uniform grey finish complements both modern and traditional interiors.
The planter does not include a built-in drainage hole or tray; plants that need frequent watering or have sensitive roots will require an inner pot with drainage or careful watering to avoid waterlogging. Very large plants or specimens with extensive root systems will outgrow a 19 cm opening and should be placed in a larger container.
If the planter lacks a drainage hole, place a layer of drainage material (gravel or clay pebbles) at the bottom before adding potting mix suited to the plant species. Position the plant centrally, fill around the root ball and gently firm the soil. Water according to the plant’s requirements and use a saucer under the pot to protect surfaces from excess moisture. Monitor soil moisture and repot into a larger container when roots begin to circle or emerge at the surface.
Use a well-draining potting mix for succulents and cacti and place a saucer beneath the planter when watering indoors. Rotate the pot periodically to ensure even light exposure for foliage.
