SCHEURICH Corteza 866 freestanding ceramic pot planter, vanilla, Ø19 cm
SCHEURICH Corteza 866 is a freestanding ceramic pot planter in a vanilla finish with a 19 cm diameter. Designed for indoor use, this single-piece ceramic container suits flowers, herbs and small decorative plants. The pot features thick walls and a fine textured surface that resembles textile, giving each piece a handcrafted appearance. Its stable base and lightweight construction make it suitable for placement on tabletops, shelves or balconies.
The thick-walled ceramic construction provides durability and thermal stability for potted plants, while the fine texture offers an artisan look without requiring additional coverings. As a single-piece design, the planter is easy to handle and clean. Its vanilla colour is neutral and integrates with a wide range of interior styles. The Ø19 cm diameter accommodates small to medium root systems and common houseplant sizes.
This ceramic pot is not designed for very large plants or species with deep, extensive root systems; its 19 cm diameter limits soil volume and root growth. If planting outdoors in freezing climates without additional protection, ceramic pots can be at risk of frost damage unless properly winterised or brought indoors.
Use the Corteza 866 as a decorative cover pot or as a primary planting container. If the planter does not have a drainage hole, place a layer of coarse substrate or drainage material at the bottom and use a well-draining potting mix. For direct planting, position the plant in the centre, fill around the root ball with soil, press lightly to remove air pockets and water thoroughly. For use as a cover pot, keep the plant in its nursery pot and remove excess water after watering to prevent waterlogging.
Place the SCHEURICH Corteza 866 on stable, level surfaces away from direct midday sun for sensitive foliage. Use a breathable potting mix for herbs and flowering plants, and lift or insulate the pot in freezing conditions. Clean the textured surface with a soft brush or damp cloth to maintain its natural appearance.
