Dinosaur Schleich Velociraptor
The velociraptor was a small bipedal carnivore, reaching approximately 60–70 cm in height. Known for its agility and presumed high intelligence, this dinosaur hunted in groups and could take down prey larger than itself. It had a flat snout with around eighty curved, sharp teeth, some up to 2.5 cm long, and used a stiff tail to maintain balance during fast runs and quick turns, with estimated speeds reaching up to 65 km/h.
Velociraptors combined speed, agility and pack behaviour, which allowed them to hunt effectively and subdue larger animals. Their stiff tails provided balance for rapid manoeuvres, and their numerous sharp teeth were adapted for gripping and tearing prey.
This entry provides factual information for educational or reference purposes. Use the data to compare with other theropods, for paleontological study, museum labels, educational materials or model descriptions. Apply the measurements and behavioural notes as general estimates rather than precise values.
When using these facts in publications or displays, cite reliable paleontological sources for verification and note that some details (such as exact speed or group hunting behaviour) are interpretations based on fossil evidence and scientific inference.
