Rack PDU Metered by Outlet APC APC Rack PDU 2G
The APC Rack PDU 2G is a metered-by-outlet power distribution unit engineered for zero U vertical mounting in server racks. It supplies 24 AC outlets (21 C13 and 3 C19) and supports common data-center input configurations for efficient rack-level power distribution. Integrated metering provides monitoring of current, power and voltage at the outlet level to help with capacity planning and fault diagnosis while maintaining compact, vertical placement that preserves rack space.
This Rack PDU offers per-outlet metering and outlet control options — including lock-out, recycle, turn off and turn on — so you can manage individual loads and reduce downtime during maintenance. Built to support both 20 A / 208 V and 16 A / 230 V inputs, it is compatible with varied power infrastructures. The vertical zero-U form factor optimizes usable rack space while providing centralized, measurable distribution and precise outlet-level management for improved operational visibility.
Mount the unit vertically in the rack using the zero U mounting hardware, ensuring secure attachment to the rack rail. Connect the appropriate mains feed according to your facility input (20 A / 208 V or 16 A / 230 V) and distribute device connections across the C13 and C19 outlets to balance load. Use the built-in metering and management interface to view current, power and voltage per outlet. Apply outlet control functions from the management console or local interface to lock, recycle, turn off or turn on individual outlets when performing maintenance or remote troubleshooting.
For reliable operation, verify input power configuration before installation, distribute connected loads to avoid overloading single circuits, and use the per-outlet metering to establish baseline consumption per device. Apply outlet lock-out when performing critical changes to prevent accidental shutdowns, and use controlled recycle or remote power-on to recover unresponsive equipment safely.
