Description

The APC Smart-UPS X SMX3000HV is a 3000VA line-interactive UPS that supplies pure sine wave emergency power to connected equipment during power failures. Designed for rack or tower installation, the unit includes an LCD display, user-replaceable internal battery cartridge (APCRBC143), and support for optional Network Management Card (AP9640/AP9641) for remote management and graceful shutdown. The UPS has 8 IEC 320 C13 and 2 IEC 320 C19 outlets, multiple input power cords (including BS1363A, IEC 320 C20 and Schuko), and three switched outlet groups to allow phased startup, remote reboot and selective load shedding. The SMX3000HV provides expandable runtime via external battery packs (SMX120BP) and comes with standard accessories for immediate installation.

Advantages

The SMX3000HV prevents data loss and hardware damage by automatically providing battery power when mains fail, and it supports controlled shutdown through APC PowerChute software. Runtime can be extended with external battery packs, and the internal battery cartridge is user-replaceable without powering down connected equipment. Switched outlet groups enable phased start-up, remote reboot and reduction of non-critical loads to extend runtime for essential devices. Optional Network Management Card integration allows SNMP-based remote management and coordinated shutdown of physical and virtual servers. The UPS includes an LCD for easy operation and is convertible between rack and tower formats.
