UPS APC Smart-UPS On-Line 3kVA Tower
The APC Smart-UPS On-Line 3kVA Tower from Schneider Electric is an on-line double-conversion UPS engineered to protect critical IT equipment and maintain business continuity. Delivering 2700 W of output power, it provides pure sine wave output, unity power factor and an on-line topology that isolates connected devices from power disturbances. The unit includes a sealed lead-acid battery with 505 VAh capacity, built-in energy metering and an intuitive LCD interface for local monitoring and configuration. Connectivity options and compatibility with external battery packs and management platforms make this model suitable for scalable server and network installations.
This on-line UPS supplies continuous, clean power by using double-conversion technology, eliminating transfer time during outages and protecting sensitive electronics from voltage variations and frequency disturbances. The UPS offers a combination of multiple outlet types (IEC C13 and C19) and switchable outlet groups for individual load management. Predictive battery management and a built-in energy meter improve operational visibility and help plan maintenance, while compatibility with network management cards and PowerChute software enables graceful shutdowns and remote monitoring.
Install the UPS on a stable surface in a ventilated environment or mount using the compatible rail kits if deploying in a rack. Connect the UPS input to a suitable mains supply using the appropriate input plug for your region. Plug critical equipment into the IEC C13 and C19 outlets and configure sensitivity, output groups and alarm settings via the LCD interface or PowerChute software. If remote monitoring or automated shutdown is required, install an optional Network Management Card into the SmartSlot and integrate with PowerChute Network Shutdown or EcoStruxure IT. For extended runtime, connect supported external battery packs according to the manufacturer instructions.
Position the UPS in a temperature-controlled area, maintain clear airflow around the unit, and follow the predictive battery replacement guidance to ensure continuous protection. Regularly test battery runtime under load and keep firmware and PowerChute software up to date for reliable management and graceful shutdown of connected systems.
