The APC Smart-UPS On-Line SRT5KRMXLI is a 5000VA rack-mountable UPS that provides double-conversion, online power protection for critical IT equipment. With 4500 W output capacity, sealed lead-acid battery (845 VAh) and a runtime of approximately 4 minutes at full load, it ensures continuous, clean power for servers, storage and networking devices. The unit includes network management capabilities and PowerChute Network Shutdown software to enable controlled shutdowns and remote monitoring.

Advantages

The SRT5KRMXLI delivers uninterrupted, double-conversion power and features an internal bypass for high availability and compatibility with generator power. External battery packs can be connected to extend runtime for longer autonomous operation. Integrated network management allows SNMP-based remote monitoring and management, and Switched Outlet Groups support remote reboot and phased start-up to manage peak loads. The hot-swappable internal battery cartridge extends service life without powering down connected equipment.

How to use

Install the UPS in a suitable rack using the supplied 4-post rail kit and connect the critical equipment to the C13 and C19 outputs. Configure the integrated network management card through the web interface or EcoStruxure IT for remote monitoring and SNMP integration. Install PowerChute Network Shutdown on protected servers to enable automated, orderly shutdown during extended outages. If longer runtime is required, connect compatible external battery packs (SRT192RMBP) according to the installation manual.

Usage recommendations

For maximum availability, enable the network card and configure PowerChute Network Shutdown for all critical physical and virtual servers. Use Switched Outlet Groups to sequence start-up and reduce inrush current. Replace the internal battery cartridge as recommended and consider the APC service pack or Monitoring & Dispatch Service for extended warranty and 24/7 remote monitoring.
