Schneider Electric XALK178GTH29 Harmony Control Station with 40mm Emergency Stop Mushroom Button
The Schneider Electric XALK178GTH29 Harmony control station is a robust safety device engineered for emergency stop applications in industrial environments. This unit features a highly visible yellow enclosure paired with a prominent 40mm red mushroom-head button, ensuring it is easily identifiable during critical situations. Designed for reliability and safety, it incorporates a turn-to-release mechanism that prevents accidental reactivation, providing a secure way to halt machinery operations immediately when manual intervention is required.
This control station offers exceptional durability and ease of use in demanding automation systems. The high-contrast color scheme ensures rapid recognition in emergency scenarios, while the mechanical design provides tactile feedback to the operator. Its construction is optimized for long-term performance, resisting the wear and tear typical of industrial settings, and the integrated contact block configuration ensures versatile integration into existing safety circuits.
When it may not be suitable
This device is specifically designed for emergency stop functions and is not intended for standard operational control tasks like routine machine starting or stopping. It may not be suitable for environments requiring specialized ingress protection ratings beyond its standard industrial design or for applications where a key-release mechanism is strictly mandated by safety regulations.
Installation should be performed by qualified personnel in accordance with local safety standards. The control station is mounted onto a flat surface using the provided mounting points. Once installed, the electrical connections are wired to the 1NO+2NC contact blocks within the enclosure. In an emergency, the operator presses the red mushroom button to trigger the stop sequence. To reset the system, the button is rotated in the direction indicated on the actuator to release it from the locked position.
Regularly inspect the button for mechanical integrity and test the emergency stop function during scheduled maintenance intervals to ensure the safety circuit remains fully operational.
