SCHROFF circular plastic disc 2.7 mm, model 100S (21101121) — mounting/accessory part

The SCHROFF circular plastic disc, model 100S, is a precision-engineered mounting component designed for use in electronics racks and enclosure systems. With a thickness of 2.7 mm, this versatile accessory functions as a reliable spacer, protective cover, or insulating element, ensuring the structural integrity and safety of industrial and server installations.

Advantages

This plastic disc provides excellent electrical insulation, effectively preventing unwanted contact between conductive surfaces within complex electronic assemblies. Its durable material composition ensures long-term stability under standard operating conditions, while its precise dimensions allow for seamless integration into existing rack configurations. By acting as a spacer or protective barrier, it helps maintain proper spacing between components, reducing the risk of mechanical wear or short circuits.

Suitable for

• Spacing between electronic panels and chassis components
• Insulating conductive surfaces in server racks
• Covering openings in enclosure systems
• Securing hardware in industrial electronics housings

This component may not be suitable for high-temperature environments exceeding the thermal rating of the plastic material. It is also not intended for structural load-bearing applications where significant mechanical stress or vibration is present, as it is designed primarily for spacing and insulation purposes.

Key specifications

• Material: High-quality plastic
• Thickness: 2.7 mm
• Shape: Circular
• Compatibility: Standard SCHROFF enclosure and rack systems

To use the SCHROFF circular plastic disc, position the component between the surfaces or fasteners where spacing or insulation is required. Ensure that the mounting surface is clean and free of debris before installation. Align the disc with the corresponding mounting hardware and tighten the assembly according to the specific requirements of your enclosure system, ensuring that the disc remains centered to provide uniform pressure distribution.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify the required thickness for your specific mounting application
• Ensure compatibility with your existing rack or enclosure model
• Check the thermal and chemical environment of the installation site

For optimal performance, ensure that the disc is not subjected to excessive torque during installation, as this may deform the material. Regularly inspect the assembly during routine maintenance to confirm that the spacer remains securely in place and continues to provide the necessary insulation.
