Bicycle Inner Tube Schwalbe AV13 Schrader Valve 26" 40 - 62 mm
Bicycle Inner Tube Schwalbe AV13 Schrader Valve 26" 40 - 62 mm
The Schwalbe AV13 is a bicycle inner tube with a Schrader (car-type) valve designed for 26" wheels and compatible with tire widths from 40 to 62 mm. Manufactured from carefully processed rubber, the tube undergoes sieving and extrusion to achieve uniform wall thickness, then vulcanization in a mould to ensure airtightness. Each tube is inflated and stored for 24 hours for pressure testing and receives a visual inspection before sale. The nickel-plated, threaded valve has a replaceable insert and a transparent polycarbonate dust cap.
The tube’s production process and quality control deliver consistent airtightness and reliable pressure retention. High-elasticity rubber allows the AV13 to cover a broad range of tire widths within its group size, reducing the need for multiple tube sizes. Replaceable valve inserts and a threaded, nickel-plated Schrader valve facilitate maintenance and pressure testing.
Install the AV13 tube by partially inflating it just enough to give it shape, then fit it into the tire mounted on the 26" rim. Starting opposite the valve, seat the tire bead fully into the rim and ensure the tube is not pinched between rim and tire. Inflate gradually to the recommended tire pressure for your tire, checking that the tire bead sits evenly. Tighten or secure the valve nut if present and replace the dust cap after inflation.
Use the Schwalbe AV13 when your tire width falls within 40–62 mm. Check the manufacturer’s recommended tire pressure printed on the tire sidewall and do not exceed it. For easier installation and reduced pinch-risk, partially inflate the tube before fitting. Keep a spare AV13 tube when riding away from service points.
