The sE Electronics sE2200 Black studio microphone is a cardioid true condenser designed for vocals, voiceover work and a wide range of instrumental applications. The latest version preserves the original capsule design, custom-built output transformer and class-A discrete electronics while improving noise performance and clarity through optimized signal path and modern components. The bundled Isolation Pack adds a quick-attach shockmount and a curved metal pop filter for improved rumble and plosive control.

The hand-crafted 1" externally polarized condenser capsule uses two gold-sputtered diaphragms for accurate acoustic response. When it may not be suitable

The sE2200 is a cardioid-only large-diaphragm condenser and is not intended for stereo or multi-pattern recording applications. How to use

Mount the microphone in its included Isolation Pack shockmount and connect it to your preamp or audio interface using a compatible mini XLR cable and 48 V phantom power. Use the selectable -10 dB or -20 dB pad switches when close-miking loud sources to prevent overload, and engage the 80 Hz or 160 Hz low-cut filter to reduce rumble, footfall or proximity bass boost. Position the mic at an appropriate distance and angle for the source—closer for intimate vocal capture, slightly off-axis or further for more natural instrument tone.
