Tent SEA TO SUMMIT Telos Evo TR2 ultralight backpacking tent 2-person, tunnel style, single/double-wall convertible
SEA TO SUMMIT Telos Evo TR2 ultralight backpacking tent is a tunnel-style, two-person shelter engineered for multi-day trekking and fastpacking. The design allows quick conversion between single-wall and double-wall configurations, offering adaptability to changing weather while keeping overall pack weight and packed volume low. Its aerodynamic profile reduces wind resistance, and the tent provides basic living space for two people plus gear in a compact footprint.
The Telos Evo TR2 combines lightweight materials and a simple pole layout to deliver a shelter that is easy to pitch and carry over long distances. Convertible single- and double-wall use enables a balance between breathability and condensation control depending on conditions. The tunnel form factor provides efficient interior volume and good resistance to crosswind, while multiple entry points and vestibule space improve access and weather protection without adding excessive weight.
This tent is optimized for low weight and compactness rather than maximum living space; groups needing spacious interior room or standing height will find it restrictive. In extended basecamp scenarios or family camping where comfort and multiple rooms are priorities, a larger, heavier tent would be more appropriate.
Choose a level, sheltered pitch and clear debris before setup. Stake out the footprint or inner mesh body if provided, then assemble and tension the poles to create the tunnel arch. Attach the fly for double-wall protection in wet weather, or remove/partially pitch the fly for a single-wall, lighter setup in dry conditions to improve ventilation. Use the vestibules to store packs and wet gear; ensure guylines are tensioned for stability in wind. After use, clean and dry the tent thoroughly before packing to avoid mildew and extend fabric life.
For best performance, pitch the Telos Evo TR2 with the low profile facing prevailing winds and tension guylines after staking. Use the double-wall configuration in heavy rain and the single-wall setup in drier, colder conditions to reduce condensation. Regularly dry and inspect the tent fabrics and seams after trips to maintain waterproofing and longevity.
