Tent SEA TO SUMMIT Telos Evo TR3 ultralight 3-person backpacking tent
SEA TO SUMMIT Telos Evo TR3 ultralight 3-person backpacking tent is a compact shelter engineered for multi-day trekking and minimalist camping. The tent provides a three-person layout with space for sleeping and storing essential gear, while prioritising low weight and packability for long-distance hikes. Its construction balances inner living area and a protective fly to offer weather resistance against wind and rain on trails and in backcountry conditions.
The Telos Evo TR3 combines an ultralight design with a three-person interior, delivering a favourable ratio of usable floor area to carried weight. The tent’s packable form factor reduces bulk in a pack and the design focuses on straightforward pitching and ventilation to maintain comfort in variable conditions. Materials and seam detailing provide weather protection while keeping overall weight down for extended backpacking trips.
This tent is optimised for ultralight backpacking and may not be suitable for groups that require separate sleeping compartments, large gear storage, or a high degree of interior living space. It is not intended as a basecamp tent for extended stationary use by larger groups, nor for scenarios requiring heavy insulation or frequent use in extreme alpine or storm conditions where more robust, heavier designs provide greater protection.
Choose a level, debris-free pitch site and clear sharp rocks or sticks before setup. Unpack the tent and lay out the footprint or groundsheet if available. Assemble the poles and insert them through the designated sleeves or clips, then attach the tent body. Secure the fly over the inner tent, tension the guylines, and stake the tent at the corners to maintain shape and stability. Use vents to manage condensation and open or close doors and vestibules as weather dictates. When packing, dry the tent thoroughly if wet, collapse poles, fold the fly and inner tent neatly, and store in the compression sack for transport.
For longest service life, dry the tent thoroughly before storage, avoid pitching on abrasive surfaces, tension guylines in windy conditions, and follow manufacturer care instructions for cleaning and seam maintenance. Use a small footprint to protect the floor and reduce wear during extended trips.
