The drive includes AgileArray technology for RAID optimisation, rotational vibration sensors for stable multi-bay operation and IronWolf Health Management support on compatible NAS devices.
IronWolf Pro combines NAS-focused firmware and AgileArray features to provide RAID-aware error recovery, rotational vibration (RV) sensors for multi-bay stability, and advanced power management to balance performance and energy use. The drive supports multi-user workloads and includes a Rescue Data Recovery service for two years when registered, improving data protection and maintainability in professional deployments.
Install the 3.5" IronWolf Pro drive into a compatible NAS or desktop that supports Serial ATA III connections. Configure the drive within your NAS management interface and, if used in a multi-bay enclosure, place it in a bay specified by the manufacturer. For RAID setups, use the NAS RAID management tools to add the drive to the array and allow the system to initialise and synchronise. Register the drive with Seagate to activate the included Rescue Data Recovery service for two years.
Use this drive in NAS environments with supported firmware (for example Synology or ASUSTOR) and in enclosures that support multi-bay vibration control. Ensure proper ventilation and continuous power management for 24×7 operation. Regularly monitor drive health via IronWolf Health Management on compatible systems and maintain backups despite the Rescue service.
