Description

The ROLINE Pro 16 U wall-mounted rack is a steel enclosure designed for secure and organised network cabling and equipment storage. It provides 16U (483 mm) mounting height, adjustable depth rails, a keyed lock on the front door and IP20 protection, and is finished in grey (RAL 7035). The housing includes a slide-on roof cable inlet with foam seal, punched cable entries on the rear panel and base plate with plastic covers, and a roof area prepared for an optional fan module.

Advantages

The cabinet is manufactured from up to 1.5 mm thick sheet steel for a robust structure while remaining suitable for wall mounting. Adjustable galvanised profile rails allow flexible mounting of 19" equipment and can be moved in depth to suit different devices. Side panels and the front door are modular, lockable and removable to improve access during installation and maintenance. Installation to the wall is simplified by a two-step process: the rear panel is first fixed to the wall and then the enclosure is attached. Optional levelling feet or castors enable conversion to a free-standing unit.

How to use

Mount the rack by first screwing the rear panel to a suitable load-bearing wall following local mounting standards and load calculations. Attach the enclosure to the fixed rear panel. Install equipment on the 19" rails, adjusting the rail depth as required for device depth and ventilation. Route cables through the roof inlet or the punched rear and base inlets, using the plastic covers to close unused openings. If required, fit a fan module into the punched roof area and secure side panels and the front door, locking them with the supplied key.

Usage recommendations

Ensure the wall and mounting hardware are rated to support the cabinet weight plus installed equipment. Allow adequate ventilation and clearance for cooling; use the fan option when installing heat-generating devices. Use proper cable management to maintain accessibility and prevent strain on connectors.
