Product information

Description

The Tunnel element SureFlap SFGMA001 is an accessory for pet doors designed to extend and secure the passageway for pets. Made of durable white plastic, the tunnel element provides a finished channel between a wall or door and the SureFlap pet door frame. With dimensions of 285 mm in width and 285 mm in depth, it is intended to create additional clearance where wall thickness or door construction requires an extended tunnel for a flush, stable installation.

Advantages

The tunnel element is constructed from sturdy white plastic that resists everyday wear and is easy to clean. Its uniform dimensions simplify planning and installation when extending a pet door through thicker walls or composite doors. By matching the SureFlap system, the accessory helps maintain a tidy appearance and consistent fit, improving the overall functionality of the pet access point without requiring bespoke trimming or custom fabrication.

Suitable for

  • Extending a SureFlap pet door through thick walls or wide door panels
  • Creating a smooth, enclosed passage for indoor-outdoor access
  • Renovations where additional clearance is needed for pet doors
  • Installations requiring a matching white plastic finish to coordinate with SureFlap units

Key specifications

  • Material: white plastic
  • Width: 285 mm
  • Depth: 285 mm
  • Compatible with: SureFlap pet door systems (as an extension/tunnel element)

How to use

Position the tunnel element between the SureFlap pet door frame and the interior or exterior wall/door opening so that the plastic channel aligns with the door aperture. Ensure the 285 mm width and depth match the opening and allow the tunnel to sit flush against both surfaces. Secure the tunnel element in place using the fastening method recommended for your existing SureFlap installation (screws or adhesive as appropriate), then attach the pet door frame to complete the assembly. Confirm that the passage is unobstructed and that the flap moves freely before allowing pets to use the door.

Usage recommendations

For best results, measure the wall or door thickness and verify the 285 mm tunnel dimensions before installation; use compatible fasteners and sealants suitable for the wall material to maintain a stable, weather-resistant fit and to preserve the SureFlap system’s performance.
