Microphone Sennheiser EW-D ASA (Q-R-S) 508879
The Sennheiser EW‑D ASA (Q‑R‑S) is a versatile digital wireless microphone system designed for vocalists, presenters and instrumentalists who need reliable live sound. It uses digital UHF transmission and offers wide tuning bandwidth, low latency and extensive frequency selection to deliver clear, detailed audio for live performances, broadcasting and recording.
Digital transmission in the UHF band improves range, reliability and scalability compared with many analogue systems. The EW‑D Smart Assist App connects via Bluetooth Low Energy for remote setup and management, while auto scan quickly finds clean frequencies to minimise setup time. A 134 dB audio input dynamic range preserves signal detail without manual sensitivity adjustments. The system supports equidistant channel spacing and intermodulation elimination, allowing channels to be placed 600 kHz apart across a 56 MHz tuning bandwidth with up to 2,240 selectable frequencies.
Power on the receiver and transmitter, open the EW‑D Smart Assist App and connect via Bluetooth Low Energy for remote configuration. Use the app or the receiver’s controls to run an auto scan and select a clear frequency. Mount or position the receiver and antennas according to venue requirements, attach the microphone capsule or instrument clip, and set gain if needed; with a 134 dB input dynamic range, extensive manual sensitivity adjustment is usually unnecessary. Monitor audio and battery status from the receiver or app during use.
For reliable multi-channel setups, plan channel allocation across the 56 MHz tuning bandwidth and use the equidistant 600 kHz spacing to minimise intermodulation. Use a compatible Lithium‑Ion battery pack for extended operation; keep spare batteries or a spare transmitter charged for long events.
