Sensory mosaic cards SES Creative My First
Sensory mosaic cards SES Creative My First are designed for children aged 1 to 12 years to support early sensory development, fine motor skills and creative play. The set contains illustrated cards of animals with partially missing fur, plus textured mosaic shapes that children remove from their sheets and press onto the cards to complete the pictures. The activity combines tactile exploration with colour recognition and simple problem solving, offering an age-adapted hands-on learning experience that can be used at home, in preschool or in therapy sessions.
The product uses a variety of textures and bright colours to stimulate touch and sight while encouraging hand–eye coordination. The peel-and-stick mosaic shapes are easy for small hands to handle and place, which supports the development of fine motor control and pincer grip. The cards present a clear visual goal — complete the animal’s coat — which helps children practice concentration and decision-making. Materials are safe for the intended age group and the activity can be carried out independently or with adult guidance.
Choose an animal card and identify the missing fur areas. Remove the mosaic shapes from their backing sheet and match textures and colours to the marked zones on the card. Press each shape firmly onto the card so it adheres and completes the picture. The simple peel-and-stick format allows repetition: shapes can be stored and reused according to the condition of the adhesive. Adult supervision is recommended for younger children during initial use.
Use the cards on a clean, dry surface and keep spare storage for unused mosaic sheets to preserve adhesive quality. Rotate different textures and cards to maintain engagement and adapt difficulty by encouraging children to match by texture alone, by colour, or both.
