SiGMA-Li KR2520 is a 90° reducer elbow manufactured from polypropylene (PP) for connecting pipes with diameters 25×20 mm. The fitting provides a compact right-angle transition between two different pipe sizes and is intended for potable water systems, heating circuits and general fluid distribution where polypropylene's chemical resistance and lightweight properties are required.
The polypropylene construction offers corrosion and chemical resistance, low weight and long service life in non-aggressive environments. The 90° geometry and reducer shape ensure a smooth hydraulic transition between 25 mm and 20 mm pipes while minimising space requirements. The fitting is compatible with common PP joining methods and provides a tight connection when installed correctly.
Prepare pipe ends by cutting square and removing burrs, then verify dimensions and cleaning requirements for PP fittings. Assemble the reducer elbow using the recommended joining method for the pipe system (heat fusion, solvent welding or mechanical fitting, depending on pipe type and installer practice) and follow manufacturer guidelines for joining temperature, pressure ratings and curing times when applicable. Ensure proper alignment at 90° and support neighbouring pipe runs to avoid undue mechanical stress on the joint.
Use compatible polypropylene pipes and appropriate joining techniques; avoid exposing the fitting to temperatures and pressures beyond system specifications. Provide adequate support and allow for thermal expansion in heating applications. For installations involving potable water, follow local plumbing codes and flushing procedures before putting the system into regular service.
